Queenstown Central

Located right in the heart of Queenstown, this shopping hub spreads over just a few main streets and an outdoor mall.

Shotover Street is the main street running through Queenstown and is lined with shops, bars and information centres. Large well known stores like Torpedo 7 and Outside Sports, as well as the smaller boutique shops like NZ Shred are found here. This street is the place to come for ski and snowboard gear, along with lots of other outdoor activities like mountain biking, climbing and hiking.

“The Mall”, as it’s known by most, offers an excellent open-air shopping complex with products ranging from sheepskin goods and other fashion wear, to books, art, souvenirs and jewellery. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon of shopping, with coffee and cake stops in the large variety of cafes. There are a number of big brand name shops along here as well, such as Katmandu and Quicksilver. Additionally visitors will find a large selection of information and booking offices, along with numerous bars, a few art galleries and restaurants.

Shop opening times vary dramatically, some operating with standard 9-5 hours, others staying open as late as 9pm. Almost all are open 7 days a week.

Remarkables Retail Park

This out-of-town retail park is located in Frankton and has a large selection of bigger name stores including New World, The Warehouse, Dick Smiths, Noel Leaming, Whitcoulls, Postie Plus, Smith City and a Mitre 10. Additionally you will find a number of cafes, two banks, a New Zealand immigration office and the AA Automobile Association.

Shop opening times vary, almost all are open 7 days a week.
